I was the owner of a web store specializing in parrot goods. I had a part-time employee in addition
to myself. I was responsible for product buying, website updates, email list management, financial
recordkeeping, creating new product descriptions in the database, managing inventory levels, and
was ultimately responsible for all record keeping and contract and client management.
Squawk and Howl: 2004-present
I am the owner of successful pet sitting business with up to six contractors working under me. I am
ultimately responsible for all record keeping, database management, website updates, email list
management, and contract and client management.
Good Vibrations: 1998-2001
I held two positions at this worker-owned cooperative: Inventory Manager (overseeing inventory
levels for two retail outlets, the ecommerce web-store and the mail order departments) and Benefits
Administrator (overseeing health insurance administration, worker's compensation, and all fringe
benefits for the 100+ employee company).
California Peace Action: 1994-1998
I worked my way up through grassroots organizing and fundraising to join the Senior Management Team
as Finance and Administration Director. I was responsible for budgets, payroll, benefits
administration, and reported directly to the Executive Director.

I was an answering service operator while I went to college in Boston.
Event Planning, Contract Management:
Daniland Talent: 2002-2005
I was an artists' agent, representing a roster of ten artists to colleges. I was responsible for
contract generation, contract management, and booking travel and logistics on behalf of my clients.
Berkeley Poetry Slam: 1997-2004
I was a co-host, web master, and publicist for this weekly event.
Stork Club: 2001-2003
I was the exclusive talent buyer and talent liaison for this nightclub, filling the calendar with 6
events per week.
bEASTfest: 2001-2003
I founded this East Bay festival of art and performance. It grew from a small musci-only festival to
a multi-venue multi-media festival encompassing music, spoken word, film, comics, and art in the
course of its 4 year run. I was responsible for event production, publicity, venue contracts, artist
contracts, and sponsorships.
