dani has been a multi-tasker and organizer her entire adult life. She has worked for myriad non-profits and collectives before launching her own businesses. Here are some highlights:

2004-present: Squawk Store
As the founder and sole propietor of The Squawk Store, I do all purchasing, shipping, recieving, marketing, clerical work, and administrative tasks associated with the business.

2004-present: Squawk and Howl
As the founder and sole propietor of Squawk and Howl Parrot Services, I do parrot behavioral consultations, supervise contracted pet sitters, do some pet sitting myself, and run all aspects of the business.

2001-present: B.A.N.D. Workshops
I co-founded these workshops and still co-teach them monthly. The Booking And other Necessary Details workshop series covers the basics of the business side of being a performer.

2002-2004: daniland talent, Agent
I represented 16 artists to the college and university market and to mass media. I negotiated contracts, marketed artists, and served the artists interests. I have worked with artists appearing on HBO, NPR, and CBS, and more.

2000-2001: Good Vibrations, Benefits Administrator (Human Resources), Worker-Owner
I was promoted from within to this position after serving as Inventory Manager. As Benefits Administrator, I dealt with all aspects of fringe benefits for our 200+ employee company: insurance billing, open enrollment, 401 (k) administration, worker's compensation, and more. Good Vibrations is a worker-owned cooperative that sells adult toys, books, and videos.

1999-2000: Good Vibrations, Inventory Manager (Warehouse), Worker-Owner
As Inventory Manager, I was responsible for tracking all units in our warehouse and ensuring that mail order and our two retail stores had enough. I ran the quarterly inventory audit implemented systems to improve tracking and loss. Good Vibrations is a worker-owned cooperative that sells adult toys, books, and videos.

1998-2000: Crystal Palace, Warehouse Clerk
As Warehouse Clerk, I was responsible for taking phone orders from wholesale customers, processing the orders, filing, assisting with inventory audits, shipping, stocking, and tracking all units in our warehouse. Crystal Palace was a wholesale textile arts ditributor with clients internationally.

1998-2000: Oakland Unified School District, Substitute Teacher
As a Substitute Teacher, I was responsible for lesson planning, curricula implementation, and keeping the children on track while their regular teacher was away.

1994-1998: California Peace Action: Finance and Administration Director
California Peace Action is a non-profit peace and social justice group. I was responsible for bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll, benefits, education and training, fundraising, and more.
